Kristen Hartke

In high school, I was the editor of the school literary magazine and worked on the school newspaper. Everyone said I'd become a writer, so naturally, I went to college to study photography and fine arts instead. I actually discovered photography by taking a class at a local community college, and fell in love, in a time before digital photography, with the mystery of never really being sure what was going to be on that negative before I developed it. Photography is still a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally, so I'm sharing some of my work here.
